Higher Learning explores the "Freshmen" experinece through the eyes of a multitude of highly dynamic characters. Touching on topics such as acceptance, racism, sterotypes, and sexuality, the film spares no emotion when it comes to illustrating the reality that many encounter as college freshmen. Since college is a microcosm of society, Higher Learning expresses what many face in the world.
This film goes to show the timelessness of the issues we face. The same concerns that have plagued college campuses in 1995, are still relavant in 2009. Take a look at this clip. If you have never seen the movie, college grad or not, I strongly encourage it.
